Before you start the Pink Base Plus Manicure
- Carefully read this step-by-step plan before you start applying the Pink Base Plus Manicure.
- Keep to the exact UV lamp hardening times (Base Plus 120 seconds, Color 120 seconds and Shine 120 seconds). Hardening the nail gel longer does not affect its durability.
- Never leave the bottles in the sun or next to the UV lamp (opened or sealed). The polish will harden immediately and that is not covered by the guarantee.
- The bottles and jars have to be sealed during hardening under the lamp.
- Never pull the Gellac off your nail when it has come a bit loose, because this may damage your nail. Always remove the polish according to the procedure for the Pink Gellac Remover.
- For lasting perfection it is necessary to apply the polish in several thin layers instead of a single thick one.
- Ensure the Pink Base Plus bottle has been in an upright position for at least 10 minutes before you open it. This prevents the Pink Base Plus from spilling over the rim of the bottle.
- Shake the Color and Shine between your hands for 30 seconds before you start. Do not shake the bottles violently back and forth.
- We advise against the use of Pink Gellac by children under the age of 16.

Preparations
· Push your cuticles back with the cuticle pusher.
· Remove dead skin cells and any unevenness on your nails with the 240 grit nail file.
· File your nails in the preferred length and shape.
· Remove dust with the manicure brush.
· Remove all dust from your workstation with a towel or kitchen roll.
· Thoroughly remove oil from your nails by using a nail wipe with Pink Nail Cleaner.

Applying Primer to the tip of the nails
· Apply the Primer to the tip of your nails, NOT to the entire nail!
· When you apply the Primer, skin contact must be avoided.
· Air-dry the Primer for 10 seconds; do NOT use the UV lamp.

Applying Base Plus
· Fill the dappen dish with a little Pink Nail Cleaner, a small amount is enough.
· Dampen the gel brush with Nail Cleaner and wipe it on a nail wipe or kitchen roll to remove any excess Nail Cleaner.
· Gently dip the brush in the Pink Base Plus for a small amount of Base Plus, not too much. If necessary, use some more Base Plus for a second coat.
· Apply the Base Plus in a thin layer, start in the middle of the nail and evenly spread the Base Plus across the nail, including the tips. Stay clear of the cuticles to prevent Base Plus from running over on them.
· Harden the Base Plus coat for 120 seconds under the UV lamp.
· Apply a 2nd or 3rd layer of Base Plus for additional strength.
· Immediately clean the brush with nail cleaner in the dappen dish to prevent it from hardening. Wipe the brush clean and dry it with a nail wipe or kitchen roll.

Applying Color
· Apply the Color coat in a thin layer, leave a 1 mm space between the cuticles and the gel polish and pay special attention to polishing the tip of the nails.
· Harden the Color coat for 120 seconds under the UV lamp.
· Repeat this step once or twice until you have achieved perfect coverage (some colors need three coats to cover well).

Applying Shine or Matte
· Apply a thin layer of Shine, leave a 1 mm space between the cuticles and the gel polish and pay special attention to polishing the tip of the nails.
· Harden the Color coat for 120 seconds under the UV lamp.
· For a matte finish, simply replace the Shine polish with the Matte one. Apply in the same way (repeat this step if you prefer an extra matte look).
· Remove the sticky layer of the Shine or Matte polish with Pink Nail Cleaner on a Nail Wipe.

Daily care
Apply Cuticle Oil and rub it in the cuticles. Repeat this daily for a lasting result and healthy nails.

Tips and advice
· Complete all steps for Base Plus to Shine for each hand or foot (do not apply, for instance, Base Plus on both hands and feet first) to ensure your nails are never oily.
· Ensure your nails have dried well. So, do not wash your hands before applying Gellac and do not take a shower or bath.
· Always use Nail Wipes instead of cotton balls, because they are fluff-free.
· Do not touch your nails once you have removed the oil with Nail Cleaner. If you do, remove the oil from your nails again.
· Immediately seal the bottles after applying the nail gel and keep them away from the UV lamp.
· Always wipe both sides of the brush on the bottle rim to make sure there are no drops on the brush.
· Start polishing in the middle of your nail and leave a space of about 1 mm between the polish and your cuticles.
· Pay extra attention to polishing the tip of your nail to prevent chipping.
· Once hardened, there is a sticky layer on the Gellac. Do not remove it in between coats, but only after you have applied the last layer of Shine or Matte polish. Use Pink Nail Cleaner on a Nail Wipe.
· Hydrate your nails and cuticles on a daily basis for a lasting result, especially in winter.
· Use gloves when you have to use cleaning products.
· Do not use a file to shorten your nails when you have applied Pink Gellac.

Problems and solutions

There are air bubbles in the Color or Shine
This may have been caused by the brush. Wipe the brush carefully by wrapping a cellulose swab around it and ‘squeezing’ the polish out. Do not pull too hard, because you may pull out the hairs.

Gellac comes off in its entirety
This can have several causes. You probably washed your hands before applying the polish, or you have taken a bath or shower. It is also possible you did not use Pink Nail Cleaner properly to remove oil from your nails. You may not have included the tip of your nails when you polished them, or the Base, Color or Shine layers have been applied too thick. If you have followed all instructions correctly, applying Pink Primer for additional adhesion is recommended.

Gellac comes off at the tip of the nail
This may have been caused by the fact that you did not use Pink Nail Cleaner properly to remove the oil from your nails, or you hardened the base coat for more than 30 seconds under the UV lamp. Another reason could be that the top coat left too thick a layer of gel polish on the tip of your nail. Did you follow all instructions correctly? It could be that your nails are too thin and flexible, for instance because you have worn artificial nails for a long period of time. In that case, apply Pink Primer to the tip of your nail for the best possible adhesion.

Gellac comes off along the cuticles
This may have been caused by the fact that you did not leave enough space between the gel polish and your cuticles. This causes the gel polish to peel and allow air under the polish. Always make sure to leave at least 1 mm of space between the gel polish and your cuticles. If you have accidentally come too close to the cuticles, always remove the excess before you harden the polish under the lamp.
In extreme cases, the gel polish comes off when your natural nails are oily. In that case, applying primer along the cuticles is recommended. Skin contact must be avoided and make sure not to apply primer to the entire nail.
